Which will generate around 20amp current. to understand how much current will be generated by one solar panel of 12V or 24V, there is a simple formula which is P=VXI. If now we talk about a 12V solar panel, its maximum current is 17V. For example, the maximum voltage of 120W solar panel is 17V which means P’s value here is 120W and V’s value is 17V. If we set these values in this formula, then we can find out how much a 120W solar panel will generate which you can see will come out to be around 7amp. This means if we connect.
Three panels of 120w in parallel, then we will get around 20 amp current. similarly, we can perform the calculation for 24V system. For example, if we install 200W/24V solar pnaels with Solarcon, then the maximum voltage of this panel will be 34V. If we set these values in this formula, then we can find out how much a solar panel of 200W will generate which here will be 5.8 amp. This means that if we are connecting three panels in parallel, then around 18 amp current will be coming from these solar panels. Along with this,.
Solarcon has a unique feature pv high current or high voltage protection. as we informed earlier, Solarcon’s rating is 12/24V 20 amp. This means that if you install more than the defined limit of panels with the Solarcon or if the panels that you installed generate more than 30 amp current, then this protection feature will get active in Solarcon and for the safety of the entire system, this function will get switched off. In case of PV High Current, this value is 30 amp. If the solar panel produces more than 30 amp current, then.
Solarcon will automatically gets switched off and its lcd screen will display pv high Current. During this time, Solarcon cannot charge the battery and load runs through the inverter in backup mode. After 3.5 minutes, Solarcon checks PV current. If the current from solar reduces to less than 30 amp, then the normal working of the system starts and the battery starts to charge from solar power. If after 3.5 minutes, PV High condition exists, then Solarcon keeps trying to get into normal working condition after every 3.5 minutes.
And as the pv current goes below 30 amp, its normal working starts. the same feature can be seen in PV High Voltage mode in Solarcon. If you have installed a 12V system with Solarcon, then it is obvious that the panels connected will also be 12V and we have discussed this before that the maximum voltage of a 12V panel is 17V. If there is a situation where the voltage rises from 17V to 30V, then PV High Voltage protection in Solarcon gets activated and the normal working of the system stops and the screen shows PV High Voltage message.
The battery charging also stops in this case. the inverter connected with solarcon starts running the load through battery. In this condition, Solarcon waits for the PV voltage to reduce. Until the PV voltage reduces from 30V to 25V, till then PV High Voltage condition exists. As the PV voltage becomes 25V or less, the normal working of Solarcon resumes. If you have installed Solarcon with a 24V system, then in this case the maximum voltage of the panel is 34V. If this voltage increases to 60V, then in a 24V system, High Voltage protection.
