CGRundertow WEATHER LORD for PC Tutorial Game Review
Sharing time Undertoads. I've never been great with managing money or my time. Which is probably why I'm not great at these time management type games. My spending habits are about as unpredictable as the weather! It's Weather Lord for the PC. Keeping it strong with the casual titles, Alawar Games gives us Weather Lord where you get to master the weather, help grow crops, generate energy, cheer up citizens and other construction and agricultural activities. Each stage will have different objectives and the Weather man here, will be giving you instructions and tips along the way.
So you have to purchase different weather elements and use them in certain orders for growing different crops and get money that way. You're given various choices to use each stage and you can combine and uncombine weather effects to give you different meteorological phenomena, rain clouds, thunderstorms and Pittsburgh's favorite, partly cloudy. Later in the game you'll have other objectives like, dry up swamps, put out fires, fix roads. This will tie up your weather effects a bit, but add a little variety. You'll also have cities that want certain weather patterns to keep happy, locking out farms sometimes.
Until you appease them. No one said Mother Nature's job was easy. Speaking of not easy, the game's time limits are a bit strict, and you'll encounter a technical error here or there. Your clouds and suns will float around when inactive. I thought it was a nice touch, they are clouds after all, but they sometimes seem to purposely fly over where you're trying to click. It's good for what it is. Each stage will have you trying to figure what's the best method of quickly satisfying the objectives whether to buy lots of weather elements, which.
Berea, KY Solar Podcast
This tutorial has been provided by ICMA, the International City County Management Association. And is funded through the US Department of Energy's Solar Outreach Partnership. For more information visit solaroutreach The Berea Solar Farm idea really came about as a community idea. It was modeled after a cooperative in Colorado, this is 2009. The utility had just been purchased in 2004, I think, from the college There was a lot of startup, just a lot to learn. A group of citizens would be appointed to form an advisory council for the local utility.
When the city acquired the utility, bought it from Berea College, they went ahead and adopted all the existing tariffs that were in place and suddenly became the first municipal utility to have net metering in the state. We were successful getting $125,000 through the Department of Local Government. That was the funding mechanism for the first phase first two phases, actually, of the solar. We meter monthly and refund to those individual customers monthly all the power that's generated from that panel at the residential rate. The initial interest was pretty amazing we actually sold out all of the leases.
In 4 or 5 days. There was practically a line going out the door. There was so much interest in fact that it spurred us to go ahead with phase two, which was to double the original footprint. We were confident that we would quickly get those leased and recoup the capital investment, which we did. And then we decided as a community to fund phase three and four solely with city funds I think that initial interest was not driven solely on getting a financial return but was this opportunity to have some say in where Berea's electricity is coming from.
The community gets the benefit of, one, helping to reduce the peak loads. The same time as panels are pumping out the most is a time those hot summer afternoons when you're paying for that peak power so we can save Berea Municipal Utilities money for that. Also, every kilowatt hour that we don't use is one less we buy from Kentucky Utilities and that's money that leaves the community that can stay here and circle around, so there's an economic value. There is a real benefit to being a small, or even a large municipal utility, in that,.
